I recently heard on the radio about a man who was charged with indecent exposure while in his own home, I was flabbergasted by this and had to listen to the rest of the story. A man woke up at 5:30 in the morning and went down stairs to make himself a pot of coffee in the in the privacy of his own home. While doing this a women happened to walk by with her child and peeked through the man’s window and noticed the man who was naked and decided she was defended and called the police. The police came out and charged the man with indecent exposure.
Are you kidding me!!! Is all I have to say, this man who pays a mortgage and taxes on this home should be allowed to wear whatever and how little he wants in his own home. The man was in the privacy of his own home and walking around naked no freaking big deal, that women wasted the police officers time in calling them out for a charge like that, they should be busy arresting drug dealers, drunk drivers, child molesters, thieves, and murders. I want to know what a women is doing walking her child at 530am. If any charges were being made it should have been for the women who was being a peeping tom, and looking into the man’s window. If that upset the women so much she shouldn’t have been looking into people’s windows, she had to be pretty close to the window to get a good look since it was probably dark at 5:30am. I strongly disagree with this charge, I would be very upset if someone was to control what I wore in the privacy of my own home.

I agree with about this and this reminds kind of a similar story I heard on the radio. A homeless man in Florida just had a pair of jeans, a shirt, and jacket to his name. He actually got some change to do laundry. He did not wash all three articles of clothing. He only washed his pants so he would not be completely naked. He even went to the distance of tying the jacket around his waist to cover himself up. He was outside the laundry mat and at one point he went to scratch his back and when he did a woman walked past. Apparently when he scratched his back and exposed himself the woman thought he was flashing her. She called the police and he was charged with indecent exposure. Im on the side of the homeless person. He was trying to be as clean as he could and what are you supposed to do when you only own three articles of clothing. And its not like he was just walking around naked. He even went the distance to try and cover his self as best as possible by tying a jacket around his waist. I think both women in these stories need to switch places with the other person. In your story if it was
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pathetic charge. Being naked in your own home is your right. That is ridiculous that the police even bothered to charge him for that. The women should have been minding her own business and keeping her eyes out of other people's windows. The police system and government system is such a joke. People get charged for the stupidest things, and people who deserve to be charged for serious things get off without anything. That women should have been told to mind her own business. If anything, I'd feel more embarrassed for the man who was seen naked. I mean at 5:30 in the morning you most likely think no one is going to be out looking in your window.
